April 26th is the World Intellectual Property (IP) day. The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) celebrates this day across the country in Houston, Chicago and Silicon Valley with the head office in Washington D.C. This day has been observed throughout the world as well. The growing concern of intellectual property is becoming a world phenomenon, as it should make the day an international event. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has established the International Property (IP) day in 1999 to celebrate the crucial impact of intellectual property, and the benevolent participation by creative peoples throughout the world.

In the year, 2000 World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has celebrated the first World IP Day to raise and to spread awareness related to intellectual property. WIPO wants to let people understand the very fact that idea matters and Intellectual property is not for only in the creative world rather innovations in products and technology which helps to shape our planet. The focus of the World Intellectual Property (IP) day is to open up the horizons of IP and enrich more genuine ideas that foster the development of human civilization.
